What CAMRA say about this pub http://pubs.cambridge-camra.org.uk/
After many years as the Cricketers, this pub reopened in September 2011 under the name it had when built. An impressive refurbishment has seen removal of the pool table, fruit machine and jukebox and installation of a cool and classy decorative scheme with walls painted in shades of blue and the lovely oak floorboards revealed. The front section remains pubby (and there's televised sport in the left-hand bar) while the area leading to the garden has more of a restaurant feel. Food is a big feature here and there is an ambitious menu of home-made, scratch-cooked dishes - main couse prices range from £9.95 to £17.95. Although tied to Greene King, the management maximises use of the brewery's guest ale scheme to keep the beer offerings interesting. Wide selections of whisky, gin, rum and wine complement the beers. Background music is always Motown.
